OLYMPIC PENINSULA: If you enjoy outdoor adventures and want to explore gorgeous Northwest beaches and Washington's amazing Hoh Rainforest, spend some time on the Olympic Peninsula before or after the wedding! Kayak or Canoe in the City: We love kayaking on Lake Union in the heart of Seattle in the summer. You get great city views and an up-close look at some beautiful houseboats. It's easy--almost anyone can do it without prior experience! Rent kayaks by the hour from the Northwest Outdoor Center. For canoe and rowboat rentals on Lake Washington, try the UW Recreational Sports Program.
Puget Sound Boating: For information on sailing, kayaking, and boating in Puget Sound, check out the Wooden Boat Foundation, Puget Sound Sailing, and Puget Sound Yacht Club.
